Jar (2 cups) of Wheat Germ (leave out if making Gluten free)<\/li><li>\u00bd cup of whole wheat flour (leave out if making Gluten free)<\/li><li>1 teaspoon of salt<\/li><li>1 cup of sunflower seeds (optional)<\/li><li>1 cup of sesame seeds (optional)<\/li><li>\u00bd cup of hemp hearts (optional)<\/li><li>\u00bd cup of flax seeds (optional)<\/li><li>\u00bd cup of almond slices or crushed (optional)<\/li><li>1-2 cups of pecans crushed or chopped (optional)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. <strong>Note:<\/strong> You can use a combination of nuts, these listed above are the ones I like the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wet Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>1\/3 cup of water<\/li><li>1 \u00bd cup of brown sugar<\/li><li>1 cup of vegetable oil<\/li><li>2 teaspoon of vanilla<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In a pot, Mix all together and heat until sugar is dissolved, when dissolved boil 1 minute and cool slightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assemble and Bake<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Preheat oven to 325\u2109. Pour syrup mixture over dry ingredients and mix well.\u00a0Divide mixture into two sheet pans and spread evenly. Place a piece of parchment paper on the top of mixture and use the bottom of a different sheet pan a push down to really pack the granola in tight. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until it&#8217;s a rich golden brown, rotating the tray 180 degrees halfway through.
