Ooey Gooey Sourdough Brownies

Brownie Ingredients

  • 8 ounces bittersweet baking chocolate
  • ½ cup of butter cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
  • 1 cup of sourdough starter (fed within 12 hours)
  • 8 eggs 
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips 
  • 3/4 cup of sugar

Frosting ingredients

  • 1 cube butter
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 4 tablespoons extra dark cocoa powder
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Mini chocolate chips (sprinkle on top)

Directions

Cake

Use a double boiler, add chocolate and butter and stir until melted. Remove chocolate from heat and add sugar and vanilla mix well.  Then add starter and beaten eggs whisk until batter is smooth. 

Pour batter into a greased 10 x 14 pan,  bake at 350℉ for 15 minutes then sprinkle with chocolate chips bake for an additional 15- 20 minutes until a knife comes out clean. Pour Frosting on the hot brownies, sprinkle with more chocolate chips.

Frosting 

In a microwave melt butter, milk and cocoa. Then add powdered sugar, and vanilla. Pour onto hot brownies.
