Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal
Ingredients
- 2 cups of sugar
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 stick of butter (½ Cup)
- 4 tablespoons of cocoa
- ½ cup of peanut butter (use chunky peanut butter if you want crunch)
- 3 cups of oats
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla
Directions
In the microwave, melt the butter for approximately 45 seconds. Then add sugar, milk, and cocoa powder and bring to a boil. I set my microwave to 3 minutes and watch it. When it starts boiling I boil it for 1 to 1½ minutes (start timing after the mixture reaches a full rolling boil). Take out of the microwave add peanut butter, oats, and vanilla. Mix until all covered then drop on wax paper (by teaspoonfuls). Coconut or dates may be added if desired. Cool until set and firm.

Peanut Butter Oatmeal

- 1 ½ cups of sugar
- A dash of salt
- 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 cup of peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 2 ½ cups of oats
Directions
In a large saucepan bring to a boil the sugar, salt, butter and milk. Boil mixture over medium heat for 1 full minute. Remove from heat immediately.
Add peanut butter, vanilla and stir well. Add oat and stir until thoroughly incorporated. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls. Drizzle with a mixture of cocoa, powdered sugar and water if desired. Cool until set and firm.
