Santa Maria Seasoning
Ingredients
- 3 cups of kosher salt
- 1 cup of granulated garlic
- 1 cup dry parsley
- 1/4 cup of fine black pepper
- 1/4 cup of course ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup sugar
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and mix together. Store in an airtight container.
All Purpose Seasoning Salt or Rub
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Salt
- 2 Tablespoons of Garlic Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Onion Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
- 4 tablespoons Pepper
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and store in an airtight container
Hot Sauce Lime Salt
Ingredients
- 1 cup of kosher salt
- 1-2 tablespoons hot sauce depending on how hot you want it
- zest from 1 lime
Directions
In a food processor add salt, hot sauce and zest process to desired coarseness. Pour out onto a sheet pan and dry in the oven at 170℉. Dry for 15 minute at a time until dry. Approx 2 hours. It will dry more as it cools as well.
Rosemary Lemon Sea Salt
Ingredients
- 1 cup of coarse sea salt
- 3 tablespoons rosemary
- zest from 1 lemon
Directions
In a food processor add salt, rosemary and zest process to desired coarseness. Pour out onto a sheet pan and dry in the oven at 170℉. Dry for 15 minute at a time until dry. Approx 2 hours. It will dry more as it cools as well.
Other ideas to add to salt
Wine that has been reduced, rosemary, citrus, thyme, tea leaves and lavender, dried mushrooms, sage, bacon, garlic, sundried tomatoes, chilies, combination of fresh herbs. Just use your imagination.
